THE ONE IN THE ROOM

College freshman Mari thinks she’s going to go to her new school and live the same assimilated life that she’s always lived. But, she quickly realizes what a difficult task this will be as one of the few Asian American students at her extremely “liberal” college. Mari will have to fend off racist professors, the insensitive white men that she works with on the comedy show she writes for and weebs (white people obsessed with Japan, we all know one). With the help of her roommate and the one other Asian girl on campus, she’ll learn to embrace the identity she’s been running from her whole life.

EAT MY SHORTS

Child actor Mei is the star of the most popular teen sitcom on TV, yet she wants nothing more than to escape the entertainment world and go live a normal life where she can have real friends and relationships. However, her satanic manager (that’s also her sister) and the fame obsessed showrunner keep making the show a success, locking her in season after season. Only her narcissistic, but lovable castmates can show her glimpses of light in the sitcom hell she lives in and help her prioritize fun over work.
